Florence P. Wilson

Florence P. Wilson, age 101, of Beverly Hills, Florida, formerly of New Haven & West Haven, passed away on January 22, 2017 in Florida. Born in Amherst, MA on July 31, 1915 she was a daughter of the late Jasper Pettijohn & Marion Moody Pettijohn. Florence was predeceased by her husband Charles H. Wilson, Jr; her son Charles W. Wilson, III & grandson Paul Baron. She is survived by her daughter Paula Baron of Newark DE; her grandchildren, Charles Wilson of Beverly Hills, FL & Nina Hionis of Pennsylvania and several great grandchildren. Florence was a secretary for SNET for over 30 years before her retirement. She lived in Florida for the last 9 years with family. Florence was the youngest of 9 brothers & sisters, she enjoyed baking, gardening and especially to be around children. Friends may attend her Funeral Service at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Saturday, Feb 4th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
