Florine Meyer Page

MERIDEN - Florine Meyer Page, 81, formerly of 88 Mattabasset Drive, died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 28, 2002, at Masonic Geriatric Healthcare in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Clarence R. (Jim) Page. Born in Meriden July 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Alberta Tefft Meyer and was a graduate of Meriden High School. She was the school secretary at the Israel Putnam School and spent her summers camping at her beloved North Truro on Cape Cod and also enjoyed spending time in Marco Island, FL. She was very active at the First Congregational Church in Meriden where she served on various committees and volunteered as church secretary. She is survived by four sons and their wives, Russ D. and Joan Page of Watkinsville, GA, Fred T. and Kathy Page of Wallingford, Jim R. and Frances Page of Glen Allen, VA and Tom M. and Kathie Page of Meriden; two sisters, Mildred Zezeck and Mary Spencer, both of Meriden; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Rose Zimmer. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Kenneth Frazier will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
