Frances G. Fortuna, of 31 Second Street, Hamden, passed away Saturday December 29, 2007. She was the wife of the late John A. Fortuna, Sr. Frances was born in New Haven, August 28, 1919 a daughter of the late Philip and Carmela Manganella Giampapa.Mrs. Fortuna was the owner & operator of the former Gramma's Old Fashion Bakery and Family Bakery. She is survived by sons, John (wife Ginny) Fortuna, Jr., Robert (Barbara) Fortuna and Thomas Sr. (wife Dolores) Fortuna all of Hamden, brothers; Anthony Giampapa of Hamden, Joseph Giampapa of So. Carolina and Rose Downey of CA. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Lisa, Kate, Thomas Jr. U.S.M.C., John and AnnaMarie Fortuna. Frances was predeceased by a brother, Adolf Giampapa. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, Hamden Wednesday January 2, 2008 at 12 noon. There will be no calling hours and Interment will be private. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
