Francis A. Hunt
In Cheshire, Nov. 29, 2000, Francis A. Hunt, 97 of 148 Atwater St., West Haven, he was the husband of the late Florence Bailey Hunt. Father of Martha Brown of Prospect, Paul W. Hunt of Cheshire, Joel F. Hunt of Stratford and brother of Rowland H. Hunt of Madisonville, TN. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was born Nov. 3, 1903in Coventry, England a son of the late Alfred H. and Martha D. Smith Hunt and was a resident of West Haven for 75 years. Prior to retirement he worked as a lab technician for Yale University. He was a 61 year member of the First United Methodist Church in West Haven. Funeral service will be Monday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, West Haven. Friends may call Sunday from 3 - 5 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., at Court St., West Haven. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 89 Center St., West Haven 06516.
Grandpa Hunt was one-of-a-kind! He was a joy to be with..loving, unselfish and fun. When he was asked, .How are you doing, Dad?. he would always answer, .I\’m fine! Why wouldn\’t I be? ALL my family takes such good care of me!.
Grandpop was very special to us all.
He was my great-grandfather and the world won\’t be the same wihtout him.
I will never forget the times we had togetherand what a great man you were!! I\’m glad my daughters got to know you grandpa!
I\’m sorry that I was never able to meet you, but the letters and cards you sent will always be treasured. restin peace and God bless.
