Francis 'Robbie' Wesley Robinson, Jr.

In the VA Hospital, West Haven, July 6, 2002, Francis ''Robbie'' Wesley Robinson, Jr., 62, of Belden Rd., Hamden, husband of Lucille Murphy Robinson, father of of William S. Robinson of New Haven, brother of Barbara Providence of New York, Emily Robinson of North Haven and the late Kenneth Robinson and Patricia Gibbs. Also survived by four grandchildren. He was born in New Haven, June 27, 1940 a son of the late Francis Wesley and Sara Jenkins Robinson, Sr., he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served in Korea. He had been employed as a truck driver for New Haven Transport and Westchester Motor Lines, was a member of the Police Athletic League where he coordinated the Midget Football and Baseball Leagues from 1975-85, he was a member of the Golden Ages Games veterans group. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 990 Racebrook Rd., Woodbridge. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
