Frank B. Calosso, 99, husband of the late Frances O'Connell Calosso, passed away on March 9, 2010 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. He was born in New Haven on November 8, 1910, a son of the late Prospero and Marie Pagliano Calosso. Frank is survived by his two grandchildren, Sheryl Calosso of Southington and William Calosso, Jr. of Tampa, FL, and four great-grandchildren. Besides his wife he is predeceased by his son, William Calosso; sisters, Ida Calosso, Mary Calosso, and Emily (Calosso) Barouth,; brother Charles Calosso; many nieces and nephews. Frank was founder of the Frankson Fence Co. in 1944 and past owner of the Connecticut High Test Concrete Pipe Co. In 1950, Frank helped in starting Little League Baseball in Hamden. He is a past member of the Union League, Amity Clubs of New Haven, Hamden Lions, and the Wallingford Elks. He had been a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where he played the organ and sang in the choir. A Funeral Service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Friday, March 12th at 10 a.m. followed by an interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden.
