Frank R. Cannon

Frank R. Cannon, age 78, passed away on May 29, 2015. Frank was born in New Haven to the late Marian Gaffey Cannon & Frank R. Cannon, Sr. He resided in Northford for 34 years with his wife, Jean Giordano Cannon, before moving to Wallingford. He is survived by his children, Barbara (William) Voiges of Durham, Nancy Cioffi of Meriden, Robert (Belinda) Noebel of North Branford and Steven Noebel of Meriden; grandchildren, William Voiges, twins Melanie & Amanda Voiges, Monica Cioffi, Jackie Noebel & Ashley Hamby and great-grandchildren, Mason Ogibowski, Audrianna Waleski & Isaac Hamby. Frank graduated from Notre Dame High School and attended Capital Engineering Institute and the University of New Haven. He was a former member of the ROTC. Frank was elected to the North Branford Board of Fire Commissioners for two terms. He was a retired electrical technician and chief electrician at the Sergeant Lock Co. His specialty was designing environmental control systems and production machine controls. Frank enjoyed playing chess, had an interest in science and was a scuba diver in his early years. Friends may visit with his family on Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden and may attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Monica's Church, 1331 Middletown Ave, Northford. Burial will follow in Northford Cemetery.
