Garry E. Sands Sr. age 55, passed away January 12, 2013 at his home in Hamden. He was born on Feb. 20, 1957. Garry is survived by his wife Ellen Mulhern Sands; his sons, Garrett R. Sands of Hamden, Dana & his wife Cristina Sands of North Branford, Garry E. Sands, Jr, and his daughter Nadine Sands-David and four grandchildren all of MA. His brothers, Howard (Nan) Sands of East Templeton, MA and Robert (Kathi) Sands of Great Falls, MO. and numerous nieces & nephews. Garry's family would like to thank close family friend Michael Cofrancesco, Dr. Kevin Becker, Dr. Maxwell & Mrs. Monika Laurans & MaryEllenTaylor at Smilow Cancer Hospital, and Amy & Barbara of the VNA. Friends may visit with Garry's family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. During that time a prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM.
