Genevieve K. Sperry, 87, wife of the late Miles Sperry, of 22 Masonic Ave. Wallingford, entered into the arms of the Lord Saturday Sept. 3, 2011. She was born in Meriden Sept. 13, 1923 a daughter of the late Constantine and Anna Smilgn Koscuk and lived in Meriden for many years before moving to Wallingford in 2006. She was employed at Unimax prior to retirement. Gen enjoyed reading, playing bingo, doing cryptograms and soduku puzzles. She was a member of the VFW and volunteered as a Buddy Reader at the Senior Center. Gen was a very warm, loving and generous person who will be missed by many. She is survived by her granddaughter Kelly-Ann Elkins McNeally and husband Seamus, great granddaughter Kinsley, daughter in law Ana Elkins, and step children Robin Mezzanotte, Miles Sperry, Bruce Sperry, Beverly Sperry and their families, and Jean Ferry her very dear and special friend of many years. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her sons Bradley and Stephen Elkins, a daughter Patricia Elkins, brothers Sam, Joe, Thaddeus and Leo Koscuk. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St. Meriden, Friday Sept. 9, at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden.

  1. I am very sorry for your loss of Gen. I worked with her for many years at Unimax and she always had a smile on her face. She was a wonderful lady.
