FOR YOUR SOLACE
I give you this one thought to keep –
I am with you still – I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone –
I am with you still – in each new dawn.
May your Heart always carry a joyful song.
Remember that you are Blessed –
each day by the Love that lives all around you ❤️
Sending my love and prayers to the entire Palmieri family ❤️. Truly a remarkable woman who contributed so much to so many! Many blessings. Marcia Proto
Genny was the most incredible woman. She was the embodiment of everything I aspire to, with her kind helpfulness, always supporting and encouraging women, and building a sense of community wherever she went. Her sparkling laughter was contagious and she was able to infuse joy and hope even in difficult times. Maya Angelou said that people will always remember how you make them feel, and Genny made people feel like they mattered. She inspired me and encouraged me, and always made me believe I could do great things. May her beautiful family, who are truly a tribute to her joyful and kind spirit, be comforted by their wonderful memories of her. Much love always, Tess
Our deepest sympathy to the Palmieri family
What a wonderful person she was and I was so happy to have met her. Sending love to all the family
Genny was amazing, and a perfect fit for Quota of New Haven. Our motto is “We care”- and so did Genny. She eagerly joined into our activities for aiding families in need. She took on responsibility, and became our recording secretary soon after joining our group. Genny loved to knit (she was an expert) and happily used up the high quality yarns my arthritis didn’t permit me to finish. I learned how much she loved butterflies when I sent her a birthday card with a butterfly theme. It reminded her of butterflies in her beloved Colombia. She will be deeply missed. Wherever she
Is in the afterlife, I feel sure she is helping.
She was a special friend to me … made me an honorary member of “the Club Girls” added me to the board of directors of Crossroads.. She gave me Spanish lessons and when I started to write poetry she translated to Spanish a special beautiful poem I wrote in memory of a friend who passed. I will send the poem with a card on Sunday … she thought it was beautiful and wanted her friend Juanes to put music to it
Friends for more than 60 years, we met because our boyfriends (soon to be husbands) were buddies. Gen was special right from the start! No problem was ever too big to take on; whatever it was we could solve it. Her courage. love and honesty never failed. I was so lucky to have known her.
She was extraordinarily proud of her children and grandchildren and loved to share that blessing. My love and condolences to all.
My deepest sympathy to the Palmieri family. A great loss to all who knew her and the many that she helped throughout her life.
Rest in peace Genny. You were an amazing woman with a beautiful heart. Love from the Leonetti family.
I would always call her mama cause she was always there for everyone. Loved to talk to her and she was always concerned with our welfare. Love her always and she will be missed.
Genny, You will be missed. People cross paths for a reason & when our paths crossed I immediately knew that you wee a genuine & caring human being. I always said to myself that when it came time for me to read your obituary, I know that we all gained an angel up there watching over us… As I always said to you that when I look up “Angel” in Webster’s Dictionary that they should affix your photo to that word because you exemplified this every day. Rest in Peace & watch over ALL of us from above
My heartfelt condolences to Francisco, Eduardo, Domingo, Michelangelo and the extended Trujillo and Palmieri families. I will never forget Genny’s smile and stories over the years. She was a unique community legend. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you! May she rest in eternal peace w/ Dominic.
My profound heartfelt condolences go out to the Palmieri family and friends!
Sorry I was out of the state and not able to attend the service and express my condolences to the family in person.
Genny and Aida Ortega were dear to me! We served on the Crossroads Inc. Board of Directors together for many years.
A wonderful person, a wonderful teacher.
