George H. Olson

In New Haven, January 12, 2001, George H. Olson, 92, formerly of Bedford Ave. Husband of Barbara Marie Best Olson. Father of Beverly Harrison of the American Embassy, Jamaica and George B. Olson of Seattle, Washington. Also survived by a grandaughter, Daryl Harrison of Madison, NJ. Predeceased by a sister Selma Priest and a brother Albert Olson. Mr Olson was born in New Haven, son of the late Albert and Anna Anderson Olson. He was a vice president of the First New Haven National Bank for 43 years before his retirement in 1973. Prior to that he was with the former Mechanic's Bank in New Haven. Mr Olson was a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking and a member of Spring Glen Church, Hamden sence 1947. He was also a member of the High Lane Club and the New Haven Lion's Club and a former coach of Pee Wee Baseball. Funeral Service at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden, Tuesday afternoon, Jan.16th at 1:30. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
