Dear Elsie, George and Nancy So sorry to hear about your Dad. Grand memories I have of him and your family. Love, Barbara (smith) Day
I first remember George at Twin Spruce Farm Market, where he made my family welcome as newcomers to the area. Later,as across the street neighbors, our families became good friends. Our activies together included many Civic and Volunteer events, and family get to gethers. George and Marcia were always there as good friends. I found out recently that his Andrew ancestors and mine the Smiths, came from England on the same ship.the Hector, and were the first settlers of New Haven around the Green. We found this out from him 35 years later, after living across the street from him for 30 years. His was a life well lived, with much love for his towm, neighbors, and children.Well done, and farewell George.
My heartfelt sympathy to Elsie and Brian and girls(now young women) and all who loved George……he gave me many a cookie, and slices of bologna and cheese, a well known and respected .Hamdenite…..Deb
So very sorry for your loss!!
