Geraldine J. Polhemus
MERIDEN - Geraldine J. Polhemus, 58, of 80 Hanover St., died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at her residence. Born in New Haven on July 1, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Geraldine Hoadley LePage. Before her retirement she had been employed as a corporate secretary with the Adams & Graham Law Firm in Texas. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Kaye Olivarez of Rockport, TX and Rachel Ament of Oklahoma; two sons, Jon Bryan Polhemus of Rockport, TX and Patrick Allen Polhemus of California; a sister, Linda LePage of Meriden; three brothers, Richard LePage of Apache Junction, AZ, Ronald LePage of Meriden and Martin Stabler of Lutz, FL; three grandchildren, Steven Olivarez, Nathan Olivarez and Jonathan Olivarez, all of Rockport, TX; and a niece, Laura Brewerton of Cheshire. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.

WE were so shocked and saddened by Joanie\’s death. It still doesn\’t seem that she is gone, but she is out of her pain, and free at last. She was an unforgetable woman, who our whole family will always remember. She served Roger well as his legal secretary and was as sharp as a tack. She was plain spoken, and sometimes difficult to get along with, but she always had a good heart. She will probably hold the record for the most moves of anyone we have ever known.
