Gilda C. Lavorgna
Gilda C. Lavorgna, of Renshaw Rd., Hamden, wife of the late Michael A. Lavorgna, passed away June 22, 2011 after a brief illness. Mother of Sandra L. Santucci and her husband John P. Santucci of Woodbridge and Michael A. Lavorgna of Hamden. Sister of Dr. Gabriel Cusanelli of Milford. Grandmother of Jack Santucci and Nicholas Santucci, both of Washington, DC. Gilda was born in New Haven Sept. 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Erminia Varrone Cusanelli and had resided in Hamden for 50 years. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Monday, June 27 at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Friends may visit with her family Monday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Entombment in All Saints Mausoleum.
We are so sorry for your loss Michael. I’m so glad I had a chance to meet your mother and have her attend one of my concerts. Also glad she was able to see one of our recitals. Our condolences to you and your entire family.
