Gladys F. Vandersloot

Gladys F. Vandersloot, 92 formerly of Cheshire passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the Regency House in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Caird E. Vandersloot. She was born in New York City, NY, September 23, 1913 daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia Ebitsch Foy. Mrs. Vandersloot was an administrative secretary for the Miller Company prior to her retirement. She was a member of Alice Chapter #78, Order of Eastern Star and the Travel Club and enjoyed Senior Citizens activities and oil painting. She is survived by a daughter, Gladys V. Sheehan and son-in-law, Richard Sheehan, 3 grandchildren, Lisa Sheehan of Cheshire, Lori Jankowics and her husband, Frank, of Goshen and Dawn Rizzo and her husband, Richard of Wallingford and a brother, Robert Foy of Rockville Center, NY. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Morgan Jankowics of Goshen and Ivan Rizzo of Wallingford. She was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Dessart. Funeral Service at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Wednesday morning, May 3, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Cheshire.
