Gordon M. Sivigny, 73, of Killingworth, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Jerkowski) Sivigny for 54 years. Born in Meriden, he was the son of the late Oscar and Ethel (Blodgett) Sivigny. Gordon was an exceptionally skilled career auto mechanic. He was a dedicated, proud employee of the City of Meriden Highway Garage for 26 years. Gordon had an uncanny ability to design, build and fix just about anything. He was a generous man who gave freely of his time and knowledge. Gordon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a faithful and dependable friend to many. His smile and witty sense of humor will be dearly missed. Gordon enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, attending car shows and swap meets, tinkering in the garage, woodworking, NASCAR, and dining out experiences.

In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by his two adoring daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Benjamin Doerfler, and Christina and Lee Smith, his grandchildren Jacob and his wife Rose, Elizabeth and Callie, his great grandchildren Marcy, Maisie and Russell, his brothers Arthur Sivigny and his wife Mei-li and Robert Sivigny, his sisters-in-law Judy Bochinski and her husband Steve, Paula Fowler and her husband Bill and Carol Carlson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His family would like to give special thanks to the staff of The Cove at HarborChase Madison for their wonderful care.

A funeral service celebrating Gordon’s life will be held on Saturday February 15, 2025, at 1:00pm in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden. His family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00am-1:00pm prior to the service. Interment will be private.
