Grace E. Petrie
Grace E. Petrie of 30 Rose St., Branford, formerly of West Haven passed quietly at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her family. Grace was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Charles B. Petrie. She is survived by her children, Charles Petrie and his wife, Beth of West Haven, Susan Chiaravallo and her husband, Andrew of Middletown and Bonnie Dingus and her husband, Raymond of Branford. Also six loving grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her sisters, Mrs. Michael (Elizabeth) Zvonkovic and Mrs. William (Jane) Crowley both of Branford and her may special nieces and nephews. Grace attended Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C. She worked for the former US Motors of Milford for 20 years and retired as a customer service representative in 1987. She was a member of the Gallaudet Alumni Association, Order of Eastern Star and US Motors Retiree's Association and teh First Baptist Church of Branford. Funeral service Sat., June 7 at 10 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven. Friends may call Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Grace may be made to the First Baptist Church of Branford, 975 Main St., Branford, CT 06405 or to Gallaudet University, 800 Florida Ave. N.E., Washington, D.C. 20002.
