Harold Richard Burr

In West Haven, Jan. 1, 2001, Harold R. Burr 85, of 31 Brook Ln., West Haven husband of Edith Canni Burr. Father of Lois McDermott of Sunrise, FL, Joyce Clark of West Haven and Harold ''Sonny'' Burr of North Haven, brother of Frelore Shattuck of Georgia, Bertha Parkin of Florida, Eilleen Hooper of Oregon, Annette Vertucci of Wallingford and Kenneth Burr. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son William Burr, a brother, Chandler Burr and 2 sisters Marion Palermo and Alther Muller. Mr. Burr was born in New Haven, Jan. 23, 1915 a son of the late Clarence and Bertha Page Burr and had been a resident of West Haven since 1949. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He was a plumber for the former Foskett & Bishop Plumbing Co. of New Haven and retired in 1972 and was a member of Local # 349. Funeral service at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven, Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001 at 10 a.m. Friends may call Wednesday (today) from 4 - 8 p.m. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
