Harvey B. Slauson, Jr.

Slauson, Jr., 80, husband of Elizabeth Morton Slauson of 10 Addison Rd., Hamden, father and father-in-law of, Suzanne and Frank Carpenter of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert L. and Ona-May Slauson of Bethany and Harvey B. Slauson, III of Hamden, grandfather of Adam Carpenter, Drew Carpenter, Cassandra Slauson, Robert L. Slauson, Jr. and Odessa Slauson. Harvey was born in Great Barrington, MA, Nov. 15, 1922 a son of the late Harvey B. Slauson Sr. and Mary Lamont Slauson. A US Army Air Corp veteran of WW II, he served in the European and Middle East Theatre and was awarded a Campaign Ribbon with a Battle Star. He was a member of VFW Post 88 of Hamden. Harvey was a retired managing agent for the Veggo Larsen Co. He was a trustee at the Whitneyville Congregational Church for over 30 years. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Sat., April 5, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Funeral service at 11 a.m. at Whitneyville Congregational Church. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. Interment in Centerville Cemetery.
