Born in: Manchester, Connecticut
Resided in: Meriden, Connecticut

Heather A. Megquier Michonski, 50, departed this life in the early afternoon of November 3, 2021 with her love, Kenny, and her youngest daughter, Mackenzie, by her side.

Heather was born on a chilly day in Manchester, CT on December 8, 1970, a daughter to the late Garry G. Megquier and Maureen C. Cyburt Logvin.  A 1988 graduate of O.H. Platt High School, Heather was a lifelong resident of Meriden, CT.

Heather loved a crisp fall day and the changing colors of the leaves. She enjoyed reading books during rainstorms and watching every possible crime TV show. She was a longtime fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a Pennsylvanian family tradition, and had quite the knack for gardening. Just as her mother before her, Heather was a lover of all animals, big and small.

Heather leaves behind the love of her life, Kenneth Sears. She was a blessed Mother to Aubrie G. Michonski (David), Dean E. Michonski, Jr., Mackenzie R. Michonski, Jake T. Michonski and Jimmy Alicea, as well as her stepdaughters that she loved dearly, Paige Cassina and Devyn Bagenski.  Heather also leaves behind her younger sister, Veronica Gardner (William), her beloved dogs, Cami and Bentley and Rocky the Raccoon. Heather will be dearly missed by the many friends that she considered family throughout her life.

Heather’s family would like to extend thanks to the dedicated doctors and nurses at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Please join us in love to celebrate Heather’s life on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Avenue, Meriden, CT. A prayer service will be conducted at 6:30pm. Gifts in memory of Heather’s time with us can be sent to The Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450.

  1. My heart aches to hear of Heather’s passing. She was a beautiful, kind woman. May you have wonderful memories to help comfort you during this difficult time.

  2. Kenny,
My heart is with you and all the kids, what a beautiful family all around. You & Heather will always hold a special place in my heart and many others as well because you showed each other and the world the kind of love that doesn’t happen everyday. That is a rare, a bond that can never be broken, so hold onto that infinitely and never let go..
    With Love,
    Roxan
