Helen C. Wang, wife of Moses T. Wang of Morgan Lane, Hamden passed away June 10, with her family by her side. Mother of Laura Williams, of Hamden, Joyce Danega of Victorville, CA, Stephanie Wang-Galaske of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Roland Wang of Branford, and James Wang of Los Angeles, CA. Sister of Richard Wang of North Haven, Esther Kuo of Apex, NC, Min Chiang Wang of Pebble Beach, CA. Grandmother of Zoe, Zacharie & Seth Danega, Allison, Marissa & Natalee Wang, Ian & Mia Wang, Haven & DJ (Donald Joseph) Galaske. Helen was born in Szechuan, China August 18, 1945 a daughter of the late Yeu Ling Liu and Fa Pong Wang and emigrated to the US after graduating from Taipei HS. She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital for Children, Nursing School in 1966, and worked in Flushing Hospital caring for newborns from 1966-1968 where she met her husband. They married on Jan. 26, 1968 and lived in Queens, NY before moving to Hamden in 1976. She was employed at Marshalls from 1986 until retirement in 2010. Friends may visit with her family Tuesday June 14 from 4-8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN. Funeral service will be Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. in the Hamden Plains United Methodist Church.
