Helen L. Roman
Meriden - Helen L. Roman, 67, of Kensington Heights, wife of Mariano Roman Sr., passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 8, 2009. She was born February 7, 1942 in Hardwick, VT a daughter of the late Edward and Lucille Hall. Besides her husband Mariano of 48 years, she is survived by three daughters, Mary Avila of Meriden, Lucy Casorla and her husband Jose of Middletown, Beverly Alicea and her husband Santos of Meriden, two sons, Rene Roman of Meriden and Mariano Roman Jr. and his wife Dorchelle of Meriden, a sister Barbara Furfaro of Ansonia, 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. She was predeceased by a brother, Maurice Hall and a great-granddaughter Armani Brown. Funeral service Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 11 from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.

While you were here on earth you gave all of us something to remember you by, like when you used to tell us stories of your past and ours, and all the nick names you gave to each and every one of your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I will always remember you the way you were a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
