Helen L. Rubelman, 85, of Orange, passed away at the Hospital of St. Raphael's on January 20, 2014. Born in West Haven on March 22, 1928 the late Frederick and Helen Oakes Ritzert. Helen is survived by her husband Stephen D. Rubelman; daughters, Virginia Anderson (Steve) of North Andover, MA, Nancy Wargo (George) of Norwalk, & Cindy DeNitto of Orange; son, David Rubelman (Annette)of Orange; sister, Pauline Blakeslee of Wallingford; grandchildren, Kimberly & Jeffrey Anderson, Mark, Greg & Adam Rubelmann, Nick & Katie Wargo, Michael & Michele DeNitto; great-grandchildren, Eli & Noah Rubelmann. Helen was a bookkeeper at Ideal Printing in New Haven until her retirement in 2008. She was a lifelong member of the Orange Garden Club and an avid water color painter. Friends may visit with her family on Thursday, January 23rd at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be on Friday morning at the Orange Congregational Church, 205 Meetinghouse Lane, Orange, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

  4. I wish to express my sympathy. I attended art class with Helen at the Orange Senior Center. Helen was the most loving, gentle and kind women I have ever met. I have missed painting with Helen as of recent. She brought so much to our class, she was an inspiration to all of us.How she loved to show us pictures and tell us about her great granddaughter, the most beautiful child Helen had ever seen. Thank you for sharing this wonderful women, I will never forget beautiful Helen. May you all find comfort in all the loving memories that Helen has left you with. With My Deepest Sympathy,
