Helen M. Nagel
Helen Marlene Nagel, 81, of Meriden passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Meriden Center. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on November 15, 1934 to the late Robert and Dorothy King Green, Helen grew up in Canada before moving to Meriden in 1957, where she raised her children. She was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was an active member of the L.W.M.L. Guild. Helen enjoyed crafts, birds, roses, cooking, and collecting owls. In recent years she looked forward to visits from her granddogs and listening to county music. She will be remembered as a kind and giving individual who always did her best for her family. Helen is survived by her daughter Karen (Robert) Bass of Meriden; son, Wayne (Renee) Nagel of Rochester, NH; brother, Win (Patricia Head) Green of Mississauga, Ontario; sister-in-law, Kay Green of Winona Ontario; granddaughters, Christina (Joseph) Britton and Melissa Nagel; great-grandchildren, Avery and Rowan Britton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Green. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, October 15 from 5pm to 7:30pm at BEECHER & BENNETT-FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden followed by a Service Celebrating Helen's life at 7:30pm in the funeral home.
