Helyn Ramelli Barbato
In Hamden, Feb. 9, 2013, Helyn Callahan Ramelli Barbato, 88, of Worth Ave., wife of the late Pasquale Barbato. She was predeceased by her first husband Alfred Ramelli, brothers Robert and John Callahan and a sister Joyce Moulter. Helen was born in New Haven, April 10, 1924 a daugher of the late Raymond and Veronica Conners Callahan. She was a former employee of the Town of Hamden as Secretary in the Town Attorney's Office and clerk of the Water Pollution Control Authority. She volunteered at the Hamden Senior Center and was a member of the Irish American Community Center and was an avid reader. A Private Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc., 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1263. So sorry to hear of the passing of Helyn. She was a dear friend of many years and a loving wife to my cousin Pat. We shared many good times on their trips to visit us in Florida. She will be remembered with great affection. Camille and Anthony Frisone, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
