Henrietta Roth

Henrietta Roth, 91, of West Haven, wife of the late Gustave Roth, passed away on February 28, 2014. Born in New Haven on December 22, 1922 to the late William and Anna Remphfer Burkbuckler. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Roth of West Haven; son, Glenn Roth and his wife Sharon of West Haven; grandchildren, Kelly Burns of East Haddam & David Roth Lozowski of West Haven, daughter-in-law, Diane Roth of Newtown; sister-in-law, Antoinette Burkbuckler of West Haven. Predeceased by her sons, Wesley & Bruce; sisters, Alice Testa, Anna Burkbuckler & Lillian Rupp; brothers, William & Frederick Burkbuckler. Henrietta grew up in New Haven before moving to West Haven where she has lived for over 60 years. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Victory Church and a member of their Craft Club. She enjoyed reading, loved bingo, and had a soft spot for animals. Henrietta was a part of many crocheting clubs that donated their products to people all over the world. She was quite the character and will be dearly missed. Funeral leaving from BEECHER& BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven on Wednesday, March 5th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with her family on Tuesday evening from 4 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
