Holbrook Nichols Throm, 80, of 91 White St., West Haven died at his home Friday, Aug. 30, 2002. He was the husband of Jessie Bulter Throm for 57 years. He was a resident of West Haven since 1945. Mr. Throm was born in New Haven, Dec. 16, 1921, son of the late George Conrad and Adah Holbrook Throm. He was a shop foreman for many years at Herrick & Cowell Co., Hamden prior to his retirement in 1983. Mr. Throm was a member of the First Congregational Church, West Haven since 1945 and Annawon Lodge, #115 of West Haven since 1947. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, David Holbrook Throm and his wife Karan of West Haven, daughter, Jessica Throm Peachey of New Haven, twin sister Shirley Alford of Sarasota, FL and sister, Helen Bradley of East Haven. Also survived by grandchildren, Davina Radcliffe, Bryan Throm and his wife Elizabeth, Benjamin Floman, James Floman and great-grandchildren, Jacob Levine, Katelyn Radcliffe, Tylarr Throm and Sarah Throm. He was predeceased by a sister Dorothea Luffey Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. West Haven, Tues., Sept. 3 from 6-8 p.m. to be followed by a service at 8:00 p.m. Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation CT Chapter for Research, 35 Cold Spring Rd., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
