On March 20, 2015, surrounded by her family, Ida Perrotti Gooley, 89, went home to be with the Lord. She was born on March 23, 1925 in Woodbridge, CT to the late Frank and Josephine (Canepari) Perrotti. Ida was a lifelong Woodbridge resident. She was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Bernard T. Gooley, and her son, Timothy. She leaves a very large and loving family that includes daughters Kathleen Walker of Woodbridge, Elizabeth (Brad) Cohen of Milford, grandchildren Matthew (Hilary) Hill, Kimberly (David) Prud'homme, Paul (Karen) Cichocki, and Kate Carbone, and great-granchildren that brought her so much joy in her final years, Misha, Noah, Joshua, Elisabeth, and Lucy Prud'homme, Caleb Carbone, and Silas and Astoria Hill. In addition to her daughters and grandchildren, Ida leaves sisters Gloria Luciani of Woodbridge, Margaret ('Peg') Pallotto of Stratford, brother Raymond (Barbara) Perrotti of Hamden, and several generations of nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by brothers Augustine, Lorenzo, and Frank Perrotti. Ida was employed by the Woodbridge Board of Education, Knights of Columbus, and B&B Transportation for many years. During her working years she made many lifelong friends that were very special to her. In her younger years Ida enjoyed bowling, gardening, and was an avid reader. Ida's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff of the Willows of Woodbridge. Their love, care, and laughter made Ida's final years very peaceful. These very special people are truly appreciated. Friends may visit with her family at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Sunday, March 22nd from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and may attend her funeral from the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Church of the Assumption's Mother Church, 1700 Litchfield Turnpike, Woodbridge. Interment will be private. Donations in Ida's memory can be made to the Connecticut Arthritis Foundation, 35 Cold Spring Rd., Suite 411, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

  2. Kathy and Beth–We are all very sorry for your loss. We remember Aunt Ida with great fondness, especially her relationship with Aunt Bernice. We would have attended the sunday service but received notice too late.
