Irene E. Bailey, 91, of New Haven, loving wife of the late Arthur W. Bailey, passed away on June 20, 2024, at Masonicare, Wallingford. She was born on June 6, 1933, daughter of the late Lawrence and Gladys (Toelles) West. Irene leaves her loving children; Charlotte McIntyre and her husband Stanley, Wayne Bailey and his wife Michelle, and Carol Meeker; her grandchildren Daniel and Warren Macintyre, Lisa Landry, Lawrence Bailey Jr., Wayne Bailey Jr., Dayna Peccararo, David Meeker; and five great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Arthur, Irene is predeceased by her sons, Arthur W. Bailey Jr. and Lawrence Bailey; her brothers Abraham and Fred West; and sister Helen Frasier.

 

A funeral service celebrating Irene’s life will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2024, at 11:00am in Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden. Friends may visit with her family from 9:00-11:00am before the service. Interment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
