Irma L. D’Amora, age 96, of Hamden, passed away on April 6, 2022. Born in New Haven on March 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Louis & Marion DellaCorte Catania. Irma, a loving wife and mother, is survived by her sons, Bruce D’Amora & his wife Nancy of Williamsburg, VA and Robert D’Amora & his wife Robyn of Parkland, FL; grandchildren, Allison, Paul, Nicole, Isabella, Sophia & Luca D’Amora; sister Saba Tozzo, and wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph D’Amora and her brother David Catania. Irma loved her family and enjoyed socializing with her many friends, whether it was playing golf, cards, or just meeting for lunch. She had a deep love of music and sang on the radio as a young girl. She could often be heard singing at Atria Larson Place, where she lived at the time of her passing. Irma had a true zest for life. She loved traveling with her husband Ralph, and had the opportunity to take many international vacations. Irma had such a positive impact on so many people with her sense of humor and infectious spirit.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Irma’s life on Saturday, April 9th at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Please meet directly at church. Burial will be private. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER& BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
