In New Haven, April 11, 2001, Jack Edward Wakefield, 68 of 185 Mill Rd., North Haven, husband of Lynn Sullivan Wakefield. He was born in Framingham, MA, April 9, 1933, a son of the late O. Stanley and Alice Czajkowski Wakefield, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Pratt and Whitney where he was a machinist. Jack was very active in his younger years in New Haven Chapter Order of DeMolay, serving as State Master Councilor. He joined Wooster Lodge # 79, A.F. & A.M. and was Worshipful Master seven times. A Past Patron of Mystic Chapter # 20, O.E.S. he was a Past Grand Patron of The Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Connecticut. Mr. Wakefield was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in North Haven. Survivors include: daughters, Maryellen Wakefield of Portland, CT, Tracy Lindquist of North Haven, sons, Michael Wakefield of Durham, Jack E. Wakefield, Jr. of Manchester, CT, brother, William W. Wakefield of North Haven, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Richard Wakefield. Friends may call at BEECHER AND BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Friday, (TODAY), from 4 - 8 P.M. Eastern Star Service by Mystic Chapter # 20, O.E.S. at 7 P.M., followed by a Masonic Service by Wooster Lodge # 79, A.F. & A.M. The Funeral Service with Rev. Kent Jackson of Faith United Methodist Church officiating will follow. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Masonic Charity Foundation of CT, P.O.
