Janet C. Carlo, 76, wife of Victor F. Carlo of West Haven, passed away May 11, 2010 in New Haven. In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by children Janet McGaffin and her husband Richard of West Haven, Richard Carlo and his wife Stacy of Milford, Mark Carlo and his wife Michelle of Cheshire and Stephen Carlo and his wife Virginia of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren, Lauren, Magan, Brian and Stephanie and great granddaughter, Mara. She is also survived by her step father, Ernest Sliby of West Haven. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Griffith. Daughter of the late William Griffith and Ann Keenen Griffith Sliby, Janet was born in New Haven on November 3, 1933. She attended St. John Vianney Church and had been employed as a clerk at the former Colonial Pharmacy of West Haven. Funeral Service Friday, May 14 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 9-11 a.m. Contributions in Janet's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492 or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2969 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
