Jean Butler Hunnicutt
Jean Butler Hunnicutt WALLINGFORD - Jean Butler Hunnicutt, 76, of Ashlar Village died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of Deupree Hunnicutt. Born Dec. 23, 1925 in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Howard A. and Eleanor Newton Butler. She was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, received an art degree from Yale University and a Masters Degree in education from Manhattanville College. She was an artist and had worked as a special education teacher and later at Hospice in White Plains, NY. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons and their wives, Allan and Karen Hunnicutt of Hong Kong, Keith and Louise Hunnicutt of Branford and Michael Hunnicutt of White Plains, NY; two grandchildren, Kristoffer Hunnicutt and Mary Allison Hunnicutt, both of Branford and a close friend, Abe Echeverria of New Milford. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 29, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Masonic Home in Wallingford. The Rev. Ray Cooley will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
