Jean K. Stabach, 88, formerly of Meriden, wife of the late Joseph Stabach, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Middlesex Memorial Hospital. She was born February 14, 1919 in New Haven, CT, a daughter of the late Joseph and Kunagunda (Koncki) Kaczor. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden and more recently St. Mark Church in Westbrook. She had worked for Thompson Candy Co. in Meriden and was a volunteer at the Old Saybrook Estuary Senior Center. Jean is survived by a daughter Sandra Lucas and her close friend Bill Holbrook, both of Marlborough, MA, a son and his wife, Stephen and Charlotte Stabach of Wallingford, five grandchildren and their spouses, Stephen and Nicole Stabach of Colchester, CT, Susan and Gregory Vilardo of Colchester, CT, Gregory Stabach of Medford, OR, Kathy and Patrick Gault of Crestview, FL and Richard Lucas and his wife Barbara O'Brien of East Lansing, MI, and four great-grandchildren, Madeline Lucas and Gregory, Sarah and Michael Vilardo. She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Funeral from Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, Monday, April 30 at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am at St. Stanislaus Church, Akron St., Meriden. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 29 from 3-5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 22 East Rd., Meriden, CT 06450.
