Meriden - Jean L. Tarca, beloved wife for 58 years of Lawrence Tarca passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2006. She was born in Hartford, CT on April 8, 1928 a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Scott) Milvae. Jean was graduate of Bloomfield High School class of 1946 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was employed at Napier Company until her retirement in 1989. Jean was a member of the Center Congregational Church for 19 years where she was a member of the Koinonia Club. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be very deeply missed. Besides her husband, Lawrence, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Laurie and Mark Conrad of Nashua, NH, Thomas and Sharon Tarca of Wallingford, Nancy and Robert Charrette of Windsor Locks and Susan Vaillancourt of Meriden, seven cherished grandchildren, Sam and Ben Conrad, Steven Tarca, Andrew and Eric Charrette and Amanda and Erica Vaillencourt, two brothers and their wives, Raymond and Carol Milvae of Lebanon and Robert and Joan Milvae of Merritt Island, FL as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service Monday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Center Congregational Church, 474 Broad St., Meriden. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Beeecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Sunday, July 23 from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Jean's memory may be sent to Center Congregational Church, Memorial Fund, 474 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.

Every day I bring my son Michael to school, I see you Larry dropping off your grand daughter. I haven’t seen you for awhile, and when I did, you were by yourself, and I always saw your wife with you. I had a bad feeling, so I happened to be on the internet and decided to type in your name and her obituary came up. I was saddened that I didn’t know sooner. I am so sorry.   13. Nancy, I was so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. It is not easy when a loved one passes whether it is quickly or whether it is due to a chronic illness. Please know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you and your family since I learned the news last week. I do hope you and your family can get away for a few days.
