Jean Mary Humphrey

Jean Mary (Sharp) Humphrey, 90, wife of the late Harold Humphrey, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Curtis Home. She was born December 8, 1925 in Mt. Carmel, PA, a daughter of the late Arthur and Prudence (Paul) Sharp. Jean was the office manager for Dr. Guttenberg until her retirement. She was an amazing mother and 'nana' who will be deeply missed. Jean is survived by a daughter, Beth and her husband Walter Wanat of Meriden, a granddaughter, Jeanette Duddie and her husband Joe, three great-grandchildren, David, Elisabeth and Matthew Duddie, and one great-great granddaughter, Gianna Petrocelli. She also leaves a sister, Virginia Bradbury, and three sisters-in-law, May, Anne and Gerry Sharp. She was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Wanat, and ten brothers and sisters, Leslie Sharp, Ruth & Clyde Wintersteen, Prudence & Costy Rutko, William Sharp, Claire Sklaney, Arthur & Sid Sharp, David Sharp, Marion & Ed Wagner, Albert and Dolores Sharp, and one brother-in-law, John Bradbury. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10am at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Alden Barnes will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9am to 10am, prior to the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
