MERIDEN - Jeanette C. Sharp, 93, formerly of 80 Hanover St., died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Sharp, Sr. She was born in Polaski, New York, the daughter of the late Melvin and Goldia Danough Hutchens. She had been employed for twenty years with the Meriden-Wallingford Society for the Handicapped and was a member of the First Congregational Church, serving as a deaconess at the church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Robert West of Meriden; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard J. Sharp, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK and Ronald M. and Deborah Sharp of Thomasville, GA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Lovella Havens and a brother, Robert Hutchens. Her family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her other family at Coccomo Memorial Heath Care Center. The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 23, at 10 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Dr. John W. Clarke will officiate. Burial at the convenience of the family will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Warners, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday (TODAY) from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Sharp's memory may be made to the Camp Claire Fund, c/o First Congregational Church, 62 Colony St., Meriden, CT 06451.
