Jeanette K. Hawley, 88, of Buell St. North Haven, wife of the late George R. Hawley, passed away on February 25, 2007. She was born in Bridgeport on Aug. 16, 1918 to the late John and Emily Pader Kearney. Jeanette leaves her daughters Wendy Platt and her husband William of North Haven and Nancy Neeley and her husband Thomas of Cheshire. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Francis Kearney. Prior to her retirement, Jeanette was secretary for the Hamden Board of Education. BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave. in care of private funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Jeanette may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3680 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518 OR the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
