Jennifer Behnke, 45, passed away on September 5, 2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 30, 1977 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to John Berges and Maria Kidd Berges of Spain. Married to her best friend, Chris Behnke, for 20 years, they lived in Florida before moving to Woodbridge 16 years ago. She enjoyed yoga, music, and had been excited about recently starting Tai-Chi. Jennifer will be remembered as a soft-spoken, kind, and positive person who always put others before herself, which were perfect traits that carried over into her career as a registered nurse.
Besides her husband and parents, Jennifer will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kyle and Alanna Behnke of Woodbridge; her sisters, Naidabel Volini of Roslyn, NY and Lorraine Nadjafi of Maitland, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit with her family on Sunday, September 11th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. A service will be held in the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Jennifer’s memory may be sent to Breast Cancer Research at www.breastcancer.org.
