Meriden, CT - Jesus Manuel Hernandez (Jin) age 89, of Meriden, Conn., passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, 2012 at Westfield Care and Rehab Center. He was born on September 19, 1923 in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico. Jesus and his wife Maria Julia moved to Tampa, FL in 1984. He was a member of Methodist Church of Tampa, Fla. Jesus was predeceased by his loving wife, Maria Julia and his son, Norbert Hernandez. He is survived by eight daughters and four sons and their spouses, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. He was predeceased by eight sisters. He enjoyed music and dancing above all and spent his last years listening to his favorite tunes and singing. He was retired from Hartford Technologies in Rocky Hill. 'For those who have been faithful, O Lord, Life is not ended, but merely changed; and when this earthly abode dissolves, an eternal dwelling place awaits them in heaven'…. Funeral service will be Monday Dec. 24, at 10 a.m. in the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden. Friends may visit with his family Sunday from 3-5 p.m. Interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
