Jim Haglind has left his life in Hamden, CT, to take a position as the newest tenor in the heavenly choir. Jim is now at peace with life everlasting at his heart's home with God. Jim was a loving spouse to the late Jean, father, Christian, Gideon, communicant of Christ Lutheran Church, sailor in the Navy, Philatelist, Swedish Singer, trophy winning bowler, 60+ year member of the ACS, and lifelong blood donor. Celebrating his life and the gifts he has bequeathed to us are his three daughters, Carol, LeAnn, and Barbara, their families, and Jim's friends, associates, and fellow communicants. Jim served God, his country, and his community with humility, kindness, integrity, and love. Jim loved his personal and church families. We will miss him in our daily lives, and look forward to rejoining him in God's kingdom. The celebration of Jim's life shall be held Friday, October 30, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 600 Shepard Ave, Hamden, CT. The visitation begins at 10:00 am with his funeral service at 11:00 am. Military Honors will follow at the church. Burial will be private.

  8. I’m so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing, BJ, and my condolences to your family as well. From your many stories of him, I knew how close you were. It sounds as if he had a very full life, well lived and, with three daughters, I’m sure he felt very blessed.
