John Davie

Davie, John (Ian) In Branford, Wednesday, March 12, 2008, John (Ian) Davie, 78 of Bethany. He was the beloved husband of Beverly Sawin Davie. John is also survived by 3 sons: John E. Davie and his wife Khong, Raymond S. Davie and his wife Wendy and Thomas Davie and his wife Stacey and 4 grandchildren: Amelia, Jessica, Lauren and Bryan Davie. Son of the late Thomas and Margaret Stockman Davie, John was born in New Haven October 11, 1929. He was president and co-owner of Davis Electric in Wallingford and president of Davie Engineered Power Systems of Hamden. He was in the Civil Air Patrol, NH Power Squadron, was past president of Quinnipiac Gun Club and was a member of Wallingford Rotary. John was a member of DeMolay, Adelphi Lodge AF & AM for over 50 years, and a 33rd degree Mason. He was also a member of the Pyramid Shriners of Milford, CT and the Consistory Scottish Rite of Bodies of Bridgeport, CT and was an Army Lt. during the Korean Conflict. He traveled extensively with his wife and family and was an avid fisherman, boater and hunter. Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN.
