In Wallingford, April 13, 2003, John E. Covert, 88, of 22 Masonic Ave., husband of the late Rose Marie Johnson Covert. He was born in East Haven, May 23, 1914 a son of the late Robert H. & Mary Elizabeth Smith Covert. Service of interment at Bare Plain Cemetery, Route 80, North Branford, Friday, May 2 at 1 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
