John George Radeach of Ashlar Village, Wallingford passed away on March 4, 2015. Husband of the late Eleanor Hartigan Weaver Radeach. John was born on August 26, 1919 in Okrug, Yugoslavia/Croatia, son of the late Fabo and Fo Dome Mise Radic. He is survived by stepsons, Kenneth (Carol) Weaver of Hamden and Richard Weaver. He was predeceased by 12 brothers and a sister. John had many friends, including Emily Coppola, who helped manage his affairs. He came to the United States in 1938 and was allowed to enlist in the US Army-Air Force, where he served as a Cook. He became a citizen in 1943. John worked as a Master Chef in many local restaurants in New Haven. He was also the owner and rental agent for several properties in New Haven. He became a member of Connecticut Rock Lodge #92, A.F. & A.M. (now Hiram Lodge #1) in 1969, serving as Master. He was very active in most Masonic organizations in New Haven and around the state, receiving much recognition for his work. John will be remembered for his smile and ready wit, but primarily as a giving, compassionate friend. A visitation will be held at BEECHER AND BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden on Sunday evening, March 8, from 6-7:30 P.M. followed by a Masonic Service by Hiram Lodge # 1, A.F. & A.M. Private burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Gift of Life Fund, c/o The Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O. Box 70, Wallingford, CT 06492.
