John Reshotnik
John Michael Reshotnik, 83, of North Haven and Ft. Myers FL, beloved husband of 53 years of Adele Stapper Reshotnik, passed away Oct. 4, 2013 in the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. John was born in Westbury, NY April 10, 1930 a son of the late John M. and Stella Tomczyk Reshotnik and resided on Long Island before moving to CT in 1995. He served as a staff sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. Loving father of Renee (Robert) Kenny of North Haven, John M. ( Victoria) Reshotnik of North Branford, proud grandfather of Justin, Amanda & Christian Kenny of North Haven, and Brittany & Cameron Reshotnik of North Branford. John is also predeceased by his two sisters, Julia Latham and Marion Forgione. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT 2300 WHITNEY AVE HAMDEN Monday morning Oct 7, at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Rita Church Whitney Ave Hamden, at 10 am. Interment with military honors in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may visit with his family on Sunday from 4-7 pm. in lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society 38 Richards Ave. Norwalk, CT 06854.

Adele and family, We are so very sorry for your loss, and OUR loss. John was such a wonderful person, so full of life and FUN…especially during Special Olympics golf season! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him every week at Sleeping Giant, even if only to grumble about those D**N YANKEES! He will be missed.
