Hamden - Joseph Anthony Petriccione, 93, of 125 Putnam Ave. passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at CT Hospice. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Leonetta Campochiaro Petriccione and wife of 15 years, Anna Fioretta. He was born in New Haven, September 15, 1914, a son of the late Luca and Assunta Morico Petriccione. Mr. Petriccione was the former owner of the Riviera Restaurant & Hotel of New Haven and later retired from the Town of North Haven Highway Dept. He was a long time member of the Columbian Social Club and a communicant of St. Rita Church. He is survived by a daughter Sylvia Camille Petriccione of Hamden, a son Dr. Luke Lewis Petriccione and his wife Donna of Billings, Montana, daughter Julia Mattis of North Haven, and 6 grandchildren, Catherine, Leonetta, Joseph, Zachary, Randall and Gwendolen. He had two half sisters' Philomena Oliviera and Julia Pope. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Proto, a sister Julia Petriccione and a brother, Lewis Petriccione. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN Monday, June 23 at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Rita Church. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 PM. Contributions in his memory may be sent to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06406.
