Joseph John Galluzzi, Jr., 75, of Hamden passed away April 23, 2014. Beloved fiance of Wilette Pearson and her family, Caroline Farless, Liz, Ray, and Zoe Rossomando. Father of Joseph J. Galluzzi III of Clinton, Stephen J. & Debra Galluzzi of New Haven, and Michael J. & Kim Galluzzi of Naugatuck. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. Joseph was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Oneto. Born in New Haven on September 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Galluzzi, Sr. and Elizabeth Cosenza Galluzzi. Joseph was a US Army Veteran, a former IBM programmer, a chauffeur for CT Limousine, and formerly worked for Amway. He was a member of the American Legion Post 88 in Hamden, and the Wallingford Camera Club. He also served as past President of the New Haven Stroke Club and was a beloved friend of Central Baptist Church in Hamden. His outgoing personality and friendships will be missed by many. His favorite phrase will always be remembered, 'Wonderful.' Friends may visit with his family on Friday, April 25 from 9-11 AM and may attend his funeral service at 11 AM in Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Military honors will take place at the funeral home following his service. Interment will be private. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Hamden Stroke Club, c/o Miller Senior Center, 2901 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
