Joseph L. Perfetto

In CT Hospice December 16, 2008, Joseph L. Perfetto -husband of 59 years to Hope E. Carpentieri Perfetto of Hamden. Father of Agatha (Bernard) Elliott of Guilford, Frances Handy of Lake Worth, FL and Pat Perfetto (Linda) of Putnam, CT. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren . Predeceased by a brother Vincent Perfetto and two sisters Mary Amore and Lucy Betty Perfetto. Joe was born in New Haven on May 30, 1910, a son of the late Pasquale and Agatha Ciaburri Perfetto. He was the owner and operator of New Engalnd Typewriter and Stationary Co. in New Haven for 73 years. He was interviewed 3 times in the New Haven Register by Randall Beach and is written up in the book 'City - Urbanization and its End' by Douglas W. Rae. Friends and relatives may visit at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN on Friday, Dec. 19 from 8:30-9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen's Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery , West Haven.
