Joseph R. Esposito, 82, of Wheeling, W.V. and formerly of New Haven. Devoted husband of his soul mate and wife of fifty eight years, Alma Affinito Esposito, died on March 2, 2007. He was born December 15, 1924 in New Haven, son of the late Theresa Bambino and Joseph Esposito and father of his loving children, Sharon Esposito Dlesk (Richard) of West Palm Beach, FL. and Wheeling, W.V. and Dennis J. Esposito (Debra) of LasVegas, NV. He was predeceased by his brothers Albert, William and Rudolph Esposito and is survived by his devoted sisters Yolanda DellaQuilla (James) of New Haven and Helen Jensen of Oregon and their familes. Also survived are his cherished brothers and sisters-in-law Louis and Andrea Affinito, of New Haven and William and Valia Fusco and their families. Also surviving are his six grandchildren including his loyal companion and grand dog Tiffany. He was a proud veteran of WWII, receiving the EAMET Campaign Metal, Good Conduct Metal, SO198, OSS44 and Victory Metal. He was a thirty three year employee of the New Haven Board of Education and later a part time employee of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, and the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Haven. Those close to him will miss his daily rendition of songs of his idol, Frank Sinatra. Joe, a kind and generious man will be greatly missed by all. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden, Wednesday morning March 7 at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Anthony Church, 70 Washington Ave., New Haven at 10:00. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Mausoleum, West Haven. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Tug McGraw Foundation, at 1303 Jefferson St., Suite 100B, Napa, CA. 94559.
