  1. Dear Donnie: I am so sorry to hear of Joe\’s passing. I always think of him as you mother\’s devoted caregiver. He took such good care of her for so long. Question: Did you e-mail my nephew George who did live in Stratford, now living in Alabama? He e-mailed me to ask if a Donald French was a relative. I told him where I thought you were living and what your vocation was. I hope you are enjoying your work as much as you did the last time I spoke to you when your Mom died. You seemed very content at that church. Again, my condolences and the best to you always. Sincerely, Your 2nd cousin, Joan

  2. Granddad is a person we never got to know. I met him when I was 8 or 9 years old & I talked to him a few times on the phone. My dad was named after him, I’m the 3rd & I have a son – Joseph Stephen Balazsi IV. Granddad had 4 sons here in North Carolina before going back to Connecticut. Even though he did not know us, his name lives on.
